Texas Holdem Poker

Game Features:

  • Play head to head against the dealer
  • Dealer always plays
  • Optional bet on Turn and River

In Texas Hold'em the object is to obtain a higher ranking poker hand than the dealer, using your own two cards as well as the five community cards on the table to create the best 5-card poker hand.

The game is played with one standard deck of 52 cards, reshuffled before each round of play. Standard Texas Hold'em poker hand rankings are used to evaluate hands (see Hand Values).

How to Play Texas Holdem Poker

  1. Click on the chip tray to select the desired bet amount.
  2. Place your Ante bet, keeping in mind that you will be required to place a Flop bet of 2x your Ante if you decide to play out the hand against the dealer.
  3. Click on the DEAL button to start the hand. Two cards are dealt face up to you (your "hole cards"), and two cards face down to the dealer. Some well recognized hole card combos have nicknames (see Texas Hold'em Glossary), which will be displayed in the game.
  4. Based on your hole cards, you must decide whether to fold the hand and lose your Ante bet, or "call the flop", making an additional bet of 2x your Ante to continue. The FOLD button will terminate the hand and the bets and cards on the table will be swept. The CALL FLOP button will place the additional 2x Ante bet in the CALL FLOP circle, the bet will be removed from your balance and the first 3 community cards (the "Flop") will be dealt face up in the middle of the table. Your hand ranking based on your hole cards and the flop cards will be displayed in the game. Before the hand is completed, an additional 2 community cards will be dealt. The fourth card is called the "Turn" and the fifth card is called the "River".
  5. Before the Turn card is dealt you have the option of placing an additional Turn bet. This bet gives you the opportunity to increase your overall bet amount when you are confident about your hand's potential to win against the dealer. The CHECK button continues the game without placing any additional bet, the Turn card is dealt face up in the middle of the table. The BET TURN button places a 1x Ante bet in the BET TURN circle, the bet is removed from your balance and the Turn card is dealt. Your updated hand ranking will be displayed.
  6. Before the River card is dealt you have the opportunity to place another additional bet, the River bet, allowing you to further increase your overall wager on the hand. The CHECK button concludes the game without placing any additional bet, the River card is dealt face up in the middle of the table. The BET RIVER button places a 1x Ante bet in the BET RIVER circle, the bet is removed from your balance and the River card is dealt. Your updated hand ranking will be displayed.
  7. Your cards will be moved onto the table and the dealer's cards will be revealed. Using the 2 initial cards and the 5 community cards, the best 5-card poker hand between you and the dealer will be identified. The hand with the higher poker ranking wins (see Hand Values). If your hand wins, all your bets pay 1:1 except the Ante bet which only pays if you have a straight or higher.

If you and the dealer have the same hand ranking, it's a tie and your bets are returned to you. There is no additional ranking order for suits.

The Payouts table below shows the payouts for the possible results of play.
