Multihand Blackjack

Blackjack is a true casino classic, the premise is simple and the stakes are high. All players have to do is build a hand worth 21 in value without going bust. Now blackjack players that are seeking ways to make the game both more exciting and lucrative have the option to play Multihand Blackjack.

Played with 6 decks of cards, the game allows you to play three hands against the dealer at the same time, which means that if one goes bust, you’ve still got another two on the go. In the standard version of the game bets range from $1 to $200 per hand while in the VIP version it is possible to bet a massive $500 per hand.

Extra Features

Double Your Bet

After the cards have been dealt, if you find that one of your hands looks particularly promising and you feel like you haven’t bet enough on it, then you have the option to double your bet and greatly increase your winnings.

Split

If you are dealt two cards of the same value in the same hand then you have the option to split it into two separate hands. While splitting the hand does increase the bet, it also means that there is the potential to play with six hands at the same time which gives you loads of chances to win.

Dealer and Payouts

The dealer in Multihand Blackjack must draw to 16 and stand on 17. This means that his behavior is somewhat predictable and a true blackjack strategist can use this to their advantage. If you are dealt blackjack (21 points from just two cards) then it pays out at 3 to 2 while insurance will pay out at 2 to 1.

Mobile Play

There are special mobile optimized versions of both Multihand Blackjack and VIP Multihand Blackjack. The layout has been adapted to suit both Apple and Android devices so players can enjoy the game wherever they are.

How to play Multihand Blackjack

As in all versions of Multihand Blackjack, the aim of the game is to build a hand of cards as close in value to 21 as possible but without exceeding it and going bust. This version of the game is played with six decks of cards and you can play up to three hands simultaneously. To start a round simply place your chips on the table and the cards are dealt. You then have to choose whether to ‘Hit’ or ‘Stand’ for each active position and build your hands. You win a round as long as your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s is. The game also offers a number of other options including ‘Double’ (to double your bet), ‘Split’ (to split a hand containing identical cards into two separate hands), and ‘Insurance’ (if the dealer shows an Ace you can take out insurance against them having Blackjack). At the end of a round, you are paid out at 1:1 for winning hands while Blackjack is paid out at 3:2.

Perfect Pair Side Bets

This Multihand Blackjack variant is special as it allows you to bet on the first two cards dealt to you forming a pair. You need to place the side bet at the start of a round by putting your chips on the ‘PP’ position on the table. There are three types of winning pairs: a Perfect Pair (two identical cards), a Black/Red Pair (two cards that have the same value but are from different colored suits) and a Colored Pair (two cards that have the same value and color). A Perfect Pair pays out at 30:1, a Colored Pair pays out at 10:1 and a Black/Red Pair pays out at 5:1.
