Blackjack

Allow Playson to introduce you to one of the most popular table game all around the world. As you probably know first known written reference to blackjack comes to us from a Spanish literary giant, and today Playson offers you to experience it. The object of a game of blackjack today is the same as it was in the time of Cervantes, so enjoy superbly animated version of the classic card game by Playson, modeled on classic European rules of Blackjack.

How to play Blackjack

As in all versions of Blackjack, the aim of the game is to build a hand of cards as close in value to 21 as possible but without exceeding it and going bust. This version of the game is played with six decks of cards and you can play up to three hands simultaneously. To start a round simply place your chips on the table and the cards are dealt. You then have to choose whether to ‘Hit’ or ‘Stand’ for each active position and build your hands. You win a round as long as your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s is. The game also offers a number of other options including ‘Double’ (to double your bet), ‘Split’ (to split a hand containing identical cards into two separate hands), and ‘Insurance’ (if the dealer shows an Ace you can take out insurance against them having Blackjack). At the end of a round, you are paid out at 1:1 for winning hands while Blackjack is paid out at 3:2.

Perfect Pair Side Bets

This Blackjack variant is special as it allows you to bet on the first two cards dealt to you forming a pair. You need to place the side bet at the start of a round by putting your chips on the ‘PP’ position on the table. There are three types of winning pairs: a Perfect Pair (two identical cards), a Black/Red Pair (two cards that have the same value but are from different colored suits) and a Colored Pair (two cards that have the same value and color). A Perfect Pair pays out at 30:1, a Colored Pair pays out at 10:1 and a Black/Red Pair pays out at 5:1.
